The world is a big place: You can thrive in it.

International Students

You’re here to make the world better and are dedicated to your education and career. You’re driven, both by your own strengths and a desire to make your family and maybe country of origin proud.

You might need help understanding cultural nuances, or struggling with troubling news from home and feeling powerless to help, or just having a hard time feeling homesick when going home is a major logistical hurdle.

I can help you make meaning of your time here, and work on developing coping skills for worry, loneliness and sadness.

Adult Third Culture Kids

I understand that moving and relocating so frequently is an opportunity for growth and living outside your passport country provided incredible experiences that you’d never have gotten otherwise, AND was a major source of trauma and destabilization. Because TCKs often have social locations of relative privilege, this is often overlooked or discounted, and our trauma is often disenfranchised and invalidated.

I can help you, my fellow adult TCKs, integrate your lived multicultural experiences with your life here, validate the pain you’ve experienced and help you heal and create a life filled with belonging and meaning. I grew up as a Third Culture Kid in Kazakhstan, Kenya, Uganda, Thailand and China, moving countries six times until I moved to the USA for college; my family kept moving. I can help you reduce shame, I’ll really listen to your stories so that we can talk about what’s really important, and I can help you unpack your feelings toward the system that sent you and your family.
